Constantly changing weather conditions greeted Havoc Motorsport’s team this past weekend, June 18-19 th , 2011 at Road America’s 4.048 mile road course. Havoc Motorsport’s drivers Dudley Fleck brought home a first place win, Tom Bootz finished in second and Matt Miller and Zac Silver finished in the top five of their respective classes despite the miserable monsoon on Sunday. Matt Miller, 2009 National Champion in the Harry Miller Appliances/Electrolux/ Hoosier Formula Atlantic, Dudley Fleck in the Coors Light Silver Bullet in the CSR class, Tom Bootz, in the Bootz Industries STOHR DSR, and 15 year old, Zac Silver in the Midwest Capital Formula Mazda class did not let the rainy weather damage their weekend. Fleck finished first, Bootz in second, and Miller and Silver both finished in the top five of their classes. Fleck started third overall, then took the lead in the first corner and never looked back while bringing home his second June Sprints victory, ironically on the 25 th anniversary of his first. Bootz led all but the last two laps to bring home a second place win to continue to lead the MidDiv Region with four lap records and four national victories. Havoc Motorsport’s driver, Tom Bootz of Evansville, Indiana sped away from the field to take home his first national title on Saturday, September 24, 2011 during the SCCA National Championship Runoffs at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The best drivers from across North America convene on Road America’s historic four-mile road course in what is considered the "Olympics" of motorsports during the SCCA National Runoffs. Bootz qualified third in his Havoc Motorsport prepped, No. 36 Bootz Industries Stohr WF1 Suzuki and moved to the front at the green flag, leading the field into the first corner and growing the gap throughout the 13-lap, 52-mile race. As cars battled for position and fell out of the race because of mechanical difficulties, Bootz ticked off lap after lap toward the checkered flag, including a Hawk Fast Lap of the race at 2:02.656 (117.402 mph), a new Runoffs record for the class.
